What song gives you the most holiday cheer?

You know its Christmas time when you start hearing Do They Know Its Christmas Time? by Band Aid. I get sick of within a week but it does bring me holiday cheer for a short while.
Stolen from Sassy::~::Frass: What American Accent Do I Have? I am Midland, which is interesting because I am born and raised in Southern California. I have never thought I had an accent, except for maybe a slight spanish-ish accent from growing up with spanish speaking parents. However, people from back east or elsewhere have remarked that I have a California accent, whatever that is.
| What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. | |

I'm on vacation!!! I have been having a lovely time, especially sleeping in until ten or eleven everyday. I swear I cannot sleep ever. I have bad insomnia and I always seem to wake up around 4 am, unable to get back to sleep for hours, if at all. But over the past few days I've been sleeping the whole night through and waking up at the crack of noon. I sound as though I'm talking about a baby :)
Jay's dad is visiting from New York. We picked him up Thanksgiving night from the airport. We have been trying to spend as much time as possible with him before he has to leave tomorrow. Yesterday we went to Hollywood to see the sights and hang out. We went to Hollywood & Highland for a while. I took pictures and will post on Flickr later today.
Today Jay is on his own with his dad. I'm not sure what they are doing. I have to catch up on a ton of stuff but I'm sure I'm going to do something later on. Hope everyone's holiday was happy!!!

I'm beginning the first of many vacation days by watching "The Crazies". The movie starts out so creepy. Everything about it says crazy. The little girl in the red bathroom. Who paints their creepy ass bathroom red? It's already creepy with its old fixtures and then they paint the room red. Then there's the creepy cukoo clock cukoo-ing in the middle of the night. The f**kin' Billy, the creepy brother trying to scare the little girl while their father goes wacko and kills their mother. All in lovely 70's scary movie style, the genre at its best. See this movie if you love scary creepy flicks. Especially George Romero type movies.
I have not updated in days and I hate myself now! I love writing and I love Vox but I have not had any time to be on my computer except at work. With the holidays and other changes approaching, its been so busy at work. It's even bleeding into my after work and weekend time. I love my job and I love the people I work with so I am not going to complain too much. Besides, I have times where the workload isn't as busy and I actually wonder to myself what I should do. Not all the time, not more often than not - but enough to balance it all out.
It's a lazy Sunday afternoon and I am dying to do something creative. I have been dying to learn to crochet. I can single crochet and maybe double crochet. I think that's enough to make a cute simple blanket. I'm thinking this colorful blanket that I saw in Craft today. I was inspired by Rudyskagirl, who is making a crocheted scarf, after just learning how to crochet very recently.
This will definitely relieve some of the stress I've been having at work. Happy Sunday!!

Jack Johnson, especially the Curious George cd :)
J and I went to Big Bear today. He had 30 disconnects to do so he took me along for company and navigation. It was a gorgeous day. The weather was fine, about 60 and completely clear, which made the day absolutely perfect. Here are a few photos to prove it!
Here is Big Bear Lake, as we drove past on our way back from our
furtherst job. There weren't any boats really, but lots of cyclists
and runners.
Here is a squirrel - and rare evidence of autumn for us desert dwellers of Southern California.
Here is tonight's sunset over the lake, just as we were leaving. All 30 jobs were done!
